Production Blog

The production continues.  I had no idea that so much goes into making your media project until I started trying to do it myself.  I opened CapCut and looked at my video.

There was still a lot that had to be done.  I wanted to use some of the skills I was learning.  I tweaked my script a bit.  Although I wan't using any dialogue, I wanted to make sure the script  for my voice over was the best it could be. I also wanted to make sure I used diagenetic and non-diagenetic sound, ambient sound and voice overs as well as transitions.

I started by reading my script from the very beginning and everything worked out.

I clicked play and the transitions are a bit rocky, so I need to re-do those to make them the best they can be,  but the voice over and the pictures synced perfectly.

I worked on the transitions from photo to photo.

I started by counting what time the voice over was over and then I placed my photo according to that.

Then I placed my transitions in between them and made sure it synced.

I started by looking at some cool sound bridges to link the photos in case the voice over was impeding with the photo time.

I look at some cool guitar music with some sax in the background and this was great because it was nice and peaceful.

I put that in between one of my photos so there wasn't a blank space there.

I started to feel great because everything was rocky in the beginning but it started to come along.

I started by listening to some sound effects that would make the commercial sound more interesting.

So I decided that a drum roll in the beginning would sound great since i play the drums.

I also thought that a audience clapping would be great because it sounds interactive.

I clicked on all of them and I couldn't find any others I liked.

I started to figure out when the best time was to put them in.

I placed them in the video and they sound great.

I rewatched my video and noticed it was missing one thing.

The one thing was a thank you for watching page.

I made the page and inserted it in the commercial and it looked great and I rewatched my commercial and everything looked great.
