Filming Day 2

DIARY OF A FILM

Hi everyone! Today I will begin my second day of filming.

I contacted the sheriff and he told me I could have the police cruiser from 11:30 to 12:00. Fortunately this was great because this will really make the film seem realistic.

Then I contacted my friend who had agreed to work with me. We figured out what scene to shoot in addition to the scenes with the police cruiser and the deputy sheriff.

My friend told me he needed a ride, so  I went to go pick up my friend. We went to the first scene. It was a patch of grass. We drew straws and I got to be the teenager and he got to be the dead body.  He did a good job of pretending to be dead. We shot the scene several times from all angles so that I could get the best shot to go in our film.

He did have a hard time keeping a dead face. He kept laughing and we kept having to do the scene over again because we knew he wasn’t dead. It was frustrating but also funny.

Then we waited for the deputy to arrive at 11:30. Luckily we had snacks to pass the time.  It is not like you can get mad at the sheriff for being late!  The Deputy arrived and we started to shoot the scene. The shot was perfect but the corpse kept moving. After 5 tries, the cop had to go so we took our best shot. The shot wasn’t that bad but it’s ok. I now had to figure out how to put it all together. I have to take all of the video; the angles, the sounds, the dialog, the camera angles and shots were taken and now comes the editing.
